This piece is made up of the dried oblong fruit pods that fall from the fragrant Jacaranda tree. Once collected, these pods were soaked, scrubbed, sealed, and painted in white gloss acrylic and liquid gold leaf. The white-on-white, curving luminous patterns, undulating rhythms, and anatomic details of each pod reveal themselves anew as the viewer shifts positions around the piece.
